I don’t trust the corporate overlords to do what’s right long term.
You don't have to, if Mozilla really screwed the pooch with Firefox it would be forked.
Debian used to do it with IceWeasel over a petty thing like the copyright of the Firefox logo, which 100% has always been justified, and is necessary to distinguish between an official Firefox and a fork.
The AI bullshit features as you call them are completely non invasive, I always use the newest Firefox, and I never even noticed those features.
Stop the bullshitting and complaining over things are completely irrelevant. and will never ever have any negative influence on anything you do with Firefox.I'm so sick of this lame community doing this over and over and over again, and it always turns out to be nothing.
Yes they are, because I bet this is a complete nothing burger, just like the previous 10 times the past year I've seen similar baseless attacks on Firefox.
Why the fuck is lemmy so chuck full of anti Fiirefox and anti Mozilla propaganda?I even see comments about Firefox needing to be open source again!?!?It FUCKING IS open source, anybody can fork it if they want to, the only thing they can't do is use the Firefox logo and name.
You are all a bunch of idiots!! (everybody who upvoted this trash blog)
I seriously doubt there will be much market for petrol and diesel cars in EU after 2035.Better and cheaper batteries are already ready to go to production, so the declining battery prices are sure to continue for years to come.Scandinavian countries are already at about 60% market share for EV, I don't see how that would not be the vast majority for the entirety of EU by 2035 already with current developments.Selling a small minority of petrol cars by 2035 will not save any car makers.
In this regard I seriously doubt old people are the problem. I grew up in the 70's when flower power and peace movements were peaking all over the west.I too thought when Communism failed and the Soviet Union was split up. That we didn't really need military anymore. My wife however, claimed I was naive. And I like I suspect many others did when Russia invaded Ukraine, made an instant 180°, recognizing I had been wrong, and indeed had been naive.
Yes we all grew up learning war and military are bad things, even when they are necessary. But now it has become apparent that for Europe to have a strong defense is absolutely still necessary if we want to a world order based on international law, and not the whims of mad dictators.
But I think old people on average have better understanding about the history of war and the necessity of defending against evil, because older people were closer to the reality of it, and have lived the history where it either happened or was closer than it ever was until 2022.
There is hard physical work, and obviously Trump never did that, because he is shying away from any kind of physical effort. There is also hard mental work, but that too Trump is shying away from, and has never really tried, because he is really not very smart, so his biggest effort is about hiding that, to satisfy his narcissistic personality.
He will however boast about anything and everything without merit.
Trump thinks killing innocent people for gains is smart!!Trump is a Malignant narcissist, and in case you don't really know what that is, it's everything bad about a narcissist, sociopath and psychopath rolled into one person.
It's the most dangerous personality disorder that exist. And that's the person Americans elected to become their president TWICE!
Yes you are right, it's hard to find an analogy that is both as stupid and also sounds somewhat plausible.Because of course a bread company cannot reasonably claim that eating their bread is against terms of service. But that's exactly the problem, because it's the exact same for OpenAI, they cannot reasonably claim what they are claiming.
Oh wow, here I thought it was hopeless, and then we end up mostly agreeing anyway. But I don't think USA was the cause for Russia invading Ukraine. That I think is 100% on Putin and his idea of recreating the Empire of the former Soviet Union.
But I do agree that Biden kind of prevented Ukraine from winning as much as he prevented Ukraine from losing. And Trump has definitely not done much to help Ukraine win either, both prolonging a war that could have been finished much quicker if we had helped Ukraine more.
And of course prolonging the war earns money for the MIC.
I know Scandinavian and Baltic leaders have been kicking EU hard to wake up to the new world reality. Both regarding USA and Russia. I think in EU we mostly agree on the principles, but not quite on the level of emergency of the situation.
No matter how you look at it, even 20% in 4-5 years is very far from through the roof, especially considering the USD also lost 10-15% value in that time.
Rheinmetall was about €80 5 years ago and is now €1500 that's an increase of 1775%, Now THAT'S THROUGH THE ROOF.And that is in a currency that has kept it's value.
So you original statement remains decidedly false.
You really are a special kind of dense, look how it immediately drops again so it now is at the exact same level it was 4 years ago.Why are you spreading false info?
No actually they are not, for instance Lockheed Martin AFAIK the biggest weapons manufacturer in USA, is worth about the same as it was 5 years ago.European military companies on the other hand have increased a lot in recent years, while American have declined.USA alone and not to be trusted is not a good strategy for exporting weapons to former allies.ALL NATO countries are seeking alternatives to American weapons now.
Contrary to McDonnell Douglas Rheinmetall has increased 700% in 3 years!!
There's a huge difference between a hard life at the low end of the scale, to a privileged lifestyle like Putin has. Also I don't believe your images represent what you claim, and finally nationality has NOTHING to do with it.
Completely misunderstanding what's going on.All these frivolous attacks are to engage his strong supporters, and to dissuade resistance.Remember the Hitler doctrine, that with 10% of engaged followers you can take a country where the 90% are not engaging either because they are afraid or demoralized or don't care.Trump is working on making both sides of that formula come true.
