  • I love how Cuomosexuals are blaming Sliwa for the loss as if his supporters would have voted for Cuomo if he wasn't in the race. They were never gonna vote for Mamdani, but they sure as fuck wouldn't vote for Cuomo either. They were so disgusted with Cuomo that they were willing to throw their vote away on their protest candidate with zero hope of winning.

  • Not that he would even feel a 200k loss, but I hope it was Bill Ackman who placed that bet.

  • Even the insurance companies are losing in this. The expiration of tax premiums will mean that millions of healthy working-age Americans will be forced to drop their health care- and that is the demographic that subsidizes the high costs of elderly end-of-life care. They're gonna have to squeeze the remaining members even harder to keep the same profits. The real beneficiaries are the the vultures that divert federal funds allocated from the ACA to themselves under this crony Trump administration.

  • Remember what happened to that OpenAI employee who accused them of breaking copyright law? And he was a strapping young lad whereas people already had GRR Martin on their death pools for decades.

  • I'm trying to think of religious populations that NYC wouldn't lead the nation in. I think it's pretty much just Mormons and Amish aside from indigenous religions if you're not counting fringe sects.

  • Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I've also trained primarily Muay Thai but also have some experience with boxing and BJJ. Much less with judo because I was already over 30 by the time I dabbled in it and you need to be young to start because an aging body can not handle the constant throws. I've also been in a lot of street fights in my impetuous youth and realized that your number 1 priority (if you can't flee the scene) is to remain upright while hopefully dropping your opponent. This is where boxing and judo shines. Stay standing and mobile with boxing footwork and if they get close grab their shirt/jacket and throw them to the floor. None of this "pulling guard" bullshit which will get you pummeled by their friends (if you survive the fall onto the concrete). And while Muay Thai is certainly a good self defense art, kicking is high risk in a street fight when you can be thrown off balance. Do not attempt unless you're really skilled. One problem with boxing is that you will break your hands if you win. The human skull is much harder than the delicate bones in our hands.

  • These aren't liberal wine moms, they are based older ladies. I associate liberal wine moms with bougie middle aged women that pretend to care about egalitarian causes but throw a fit if a protest interrupts their day.

  • They have the 8th largest military in the world when ranked by firepower. They are just constitutionally restricted to "defense", but it is a crucial component of the US cold war on China.

  • "Unforgettable justice" is a bit dramatic for some pee splash.

  • Can't give Don all the credit here. Biden imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese EVs and 50% on Chinese solar cells to kickstart the American century of obsolescence.

  • I drive a manual car, ride a fixed gear bike and only buy music on vinyl because I'm still stuck in the 00s. But I don't intend to ever buy another ICE car again so I plan to keep my current car forever or go carfree when it finally dies. I'm fortunate enough that I don't NEED a car at all anymore because I have no commute and live in a walkable/bikeable city, but it is fully paid for and I occasionally take it to the track.

  • What's really revealing here is that the Nazi made ZERO attempt to conceal his swastikas. Like it didn't even occur to him that maybe he should wear long sleeves when a Western journalist comes to interview him. Because it's become socially acceptable to flaunt it and no one reprimands him for it.

  • Vaxxed?

  • Got Bernie'd again. Palestine really is the lens that exposes these DemSocs for what they really are.

  • MFW Chinese infrastructure projects aren't beholden to shareholders demanding profits on every quarterly report.

  • The entire stock market is propped up by the "Magnificent 7", and without their outperformance over the last 2 years the market would be flat. And all of the gains to the Mag 7 stocks have come from increasing AI infrastructure. They're essentially forced to keep spending more or investors will lose confidence and trigger a downward spiral. Of course they will eventually have to show revenue from that investment or the whole thing collapses. To put into context just how much large Nvidia has gotten since ChatGPT was unveiled - its market cap is now larger than GDP of EVERY nation aside from the US, China and Japan. And that's from selling the chips that the hyperscalers (Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, Apple, Tesla) need for their AI. We are at dystopian sci-fi levels of concentration in the economy now.

  • Just imagine how wild the state of politics is gonna be when people start reminiscing about the stability of the Trump years.

  • People who believe this are buying into misinformation spread by the fossil fuel lobby. Mining for battery components (primarily lithium) has far less environmental impact than petroleum extraction- at every step of the process. And there are overblown fears about battery life when they will typically outlast a combustion engine car's usable life. Plus lithium is recyclable whereas a combustion engine will continue burning more fuel.

Kanye got his own Epstein list

  • Kinda funny how IShowSpeed is second on this list.

  • They publicly made up at the memorial for that guy with the hole in his neck. And the Dems were the ones to release the latest Epstein docs. But yeah, they're not gonna be besties again.
