  • And half of those 46,000 are apparently around me, because I can’t go two days without seeing one of those monstrosities. Not surprising though, we were among the first to adopt electric cars in general, and even the Rivian trucks and SUVs are an almost daily sight here too. But god damn if the cyber truck isn’t the single most idiotic looking vehicle I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen f350s with 20” lifts and tiny tires.

  • You think they’re going to close all 38 of their bases across all of Europe? That would be a big strategic break from full spectrum dominance, which is US policy, and part of the plan to contain the growth of China.

  • The US would never give up its vassals in Europe for a single country.

  • Coffee culture in China is on another level. They have fast coffee like Luckin, Cotti, and dozens more brands, all of which are better and have more variety than Starbucks, and they have high end coffees with artisan beans, and all of them are cheaper than Starbucks. They’re not going to win there, for sure.

  • No way, it’s only 10 hours? Eternal was longer than that, and so was 2016!

  • Yeah. Not like, full hallucinations, but weed is pretty psychedelic. I have a buddy who, to this day, I think was probably the best grower in the country. His stuff is so much better than even the toppest of top shelves in any place I’ve been, including CO, CA, Chicago, the PNW. If you smoked more than a bit of that stuff, you were gonna get some minor visuals. Distortions, wavy lines, colors popping, closed eye visuals. One time I had just come off a 1 year forced tolerance break, and I got some of that stuff, went to my buddy’s house and watched him mix music while we smoked, and that music was pulsating the world around me in time with it. I was full on tripping essentially, without the mind fuck and peaking parts of the trip. Sadly, after legalization he became disillusioned with the industry becoming about profit only instead of areal focus on medical help, and stopped growing, and so the best weed I’ve ever had is essentially no longer in existence.

  • Can’t say for certain because I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard of a concept called promissory estoppel that might apply in situations like this.

  • Unfortunately that isn’t going so well for many of the locations. The company is refusing to negotiate a contract, and using the union as an excuse not to give regular yearly raises because “they have to keep status quo” despite the fact that they’re doing other unilateral changes like the recent uniform change. My local has been trying for a contract for two years now. They’ve gone on strike multiple times, but they always do these weird one or two day strikes so the company can just plan around it.

  • Just being brown was enough for me, the only time I’ve flown in my adult life without being pulled aside was, funny enough, when I went to China. I used to travel regularly for work, and it was so regular even my coworkers commented on it to the tsa.

  • Nope, that would be the party full throat supporting a genocide when even mainstream media admitted it was a big issue that would lose them votes.

  • You’re right, I was confusing it with them flying aid into Lebanon, the aid they’ve given to Palestine has been through Egypts crossing.

  • China frequently criticizes Israel, and has flown aid directly into Palestine. They’re a non-interventionalist nation, and have their own issues to work through, especially with the trade war ramping up and risks of a potential hot war. You want them to get themselves cut off from the global economy by attacking Israel or something?

  • They can “take” paid time off, meaning their few vacation days being used because of the failure of the company. Or they can come in to clean lmao.

  • Cardio is hard for me, I have ridiculously bad knees and ankles, but I do exercise at least once a week, and practice martial arts. I’d recommend everyone to practice an art, doesn’t really matter which one, the mental and physical benefits are pretty undeniable, though you have to watch out for chuds, they’re very prevalent in the scene. Bonus though, you get to beat up those chuds in sparring, which is very satisfying. Can be a good way to practice radicalizing chuds too, they usually have their hearts in the right place, just absolutely stupefied by decades of imperial propaganda.

  • Andrew does cite srsly wrong in his video on library socialism, at the end. The wrong boys have a website for it, Here it’s genuinely good stuff, we need people planning for what comes after, just as much as we need people planning for how to get to after.

  • An-prim Luddite stuff.

  • Chinese cops are pretty cool, funny enough. When they’re not enforcing capital control and murdering people, they can do a lot of good.

  • Pretty sure his foundation received a significant amount of money from the gov that has been cut off with all these cuts, I think he’s just mourning his infinite money cheat code being turned off.

  • When I was in China they had these little pods that were sooo good. Can’t get them in the states though, and I can’t remember what they were called. I just go for whatever Peach geekbar is available at my local now.
