I have no idea. I work in a large department and I don’t know who 3/4 of my coworkers are. I’ve never even seen the symbols in person, this was the first time I was made aware of them.

Both things can be true at once. People vary in height throughout the day due to spine compression. You are at the tallest in the morning before your spine has had time to compress. Adults get shorter as they age largely due to the same phenomenon taking place over many years.

But I think that says “average human” and not “average height”.
