  • Totally. You don't need to pretend to cry to make a point. I rarely cry but if I do it's usually a relief to get it out. If the kids are around so be it. I don't want to pretend to them that those feelings aren't valid.

  • In general, yes, kids don't need to know about all the little troubles of adulthood. But when you have a rare situation that makes you incredibly sad, like hearing of a friend passing away, being overburdened by stress at Work, ... It's better that kids know that crying is okay, others can take care of you and you get better again.

  • Healthy dads cry.

  • Desktop on a 3060 Ti is doing fine. Never ran Windows on it to compare though

  • This sounds awesome! If what you're talking about is a new software you're working on, hit me up! I have time to spare for some coding and have literally considered writing a better feed reader for myself or finding an OSS project to contribute to

  • But the problem is the lack of good, simple RSS readers on mobile. I miss Pulse.

  • Nice

  • Thanks for educating me! I seriously had no idea. The accident rings a bell though

  • Worse: they have a PowerPoint slide behind them showing 99% of the stuff they're saying and you're done reading the slide when their audio track is only 20% in

  • Neve heard of them until now. But wouldn't be surprised if they chose their name based on the initials.

  • Oh and "NS" like in NSDAP is also a pure coincidence?

  • NS clearly signifies "national socialism" , i.e. what Hitler's party called their ideology. Don't evne worry about the lightning shaped rune in the center.

  • After testing a bunch I am now using HERE WeGo maps a lot. Less detailed on local shops and restaurants but has some reviews, opening hours etc Has great route planning including for bike and public transport.

More free would be CoMaps but that's really mostly grey's mapping and turn-by-turn and very little info on shops apart from them existing.

  • Stay strong Canada! I hope in a few years people will just think of Canada when you say "America" because it's the major civilized country in North America

  • Bbbb ... but ... That's like communism! The government shouldn't interfere with tHe frEe mARkEt!!11!

  • Let the Murricans fight it out and fix the mess they started. They shouldn't have nice things if they think fascism and fucking up the planet are the way to go.

And yes, I also mean those that didn't actively support Trump but aren't fighting back.

  • Good.

  • This is why most of the world literally laughs about the US. Civilized countries have long removed finance from the worries you have when getting into an accident.

  • Knowing the latest developments in "world models" that you can use to walk around in VR and interact with the world, I think it only a matter of time until GTA or similar games adopt that tech over manually layouting and skinning their worlds.
