Tink tries to get rid of Wendy

There is this little sentence in Peter Pan that always had me. Tinker Bell gets the help of some "street fairies" to help get rid of Wendy. There is no description of street fairies. There are no streets in Neverland.

This scene typifies Tink's full homicidal rage against Wendy. She is going to deport her from Neverland. If she dies, she dies. Something very absent from the later Disney versions of Tink.

"A shorter adventure, and quite as exciting, was Tinker Bell's attempt, with the help of some street fairies, to have the sleeping Wendy conveyed on a great floating leaf to the mainland. Fortunately the leaf gave way and Wendy woke, thinking it was bath-time, and swam back." -- Peter Pan, 1911
