Check out this stellar animation work from Deadly Premonition 2

I'm playing Deadly Premonition 2 after buying it for 1,99€ from a Steam sale and it's pretty rough so far.

Finally seeing it in action, it's surprising how bad the game looks and how bad the animation and cutscene direction are compared to Dark Dreams Don't Die, Swery's previous "big" game, especially noticeable when Deadly Premonition 2 is going for the same kind of semi-cel-shaded look D4 had. It honestly also looks pretty bad even compared to the first Deadly Premonition. DP1 had the vibes of a PS2 throwback game whereas DP2 just feels cheap and poorly made. At least the PC port runs okay- the original Switch release was a genuine technical disaster and would regularly dip to below FPS in outdoor areas. (On the other hand, there are no graphical options, the game literally won't work without a controller and the porting job was so lazy they just kept the Nintendo button layout)
