Call me a dumbass but I did not expect the Gears of War 1 remake remaster to play exactly like the 2006 game

Imagine my surprise when I load into my first multiplayer game and aside from a 2015-era graphical face lift and some changed sounds, all the mechanics, animations and gunplay are just as clunky and bad as they were in the 2006 Gears of War

I never played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which Gears of War: Reloaded is essentially just a multiplatform of re-release of but I always thought the multiplayer was basically Gears of War 3 with Gears of War 1 maps, not... this. Who the fuck wants to play Gears of War 1 when Gears of War 3 exists??? You know, the game where they finally figured out how to make the multiplayer fun and fluid?

Jesus, imagine being the poor bastards on their PlayStations booting up versus for the first time. They're going to think Xbox players are clowns* for liking this shit. There's not even Horde mode which has probably far eclipsed PVP as GOW's most popular mode
