No, it isn’t exciting to see the entirety of my adult years in the official economy wasted by psychopaths who want nothing but to disemploy and imprison everybody. I have to live here in the US Rust Belt, whether or not Chinese losers figure out a way to lose less with their losing machine. When the non-productive economy implodes under the weight of the climate and WW3 (5 years and running), that’s not going to be a win for me.
That other user isn’t being very nice so I’m not going to tell you not to be ticked off about it. You may not know about our instance, but it has been terminally irony poisoned even before we were on Lemmy. There are a lot of Twitter style attempts to “dunk” on outsiders (happens amongst ourselves too, but that’s another story).
