Ahead of the first hearing for the 15 activists and community defenders charged with conspiracy by the federal government, a crowd full of supporters gathered and demonstrated in solidarity.
Your country, and presumably you, are participating in boycotts. That’s not a bad start, but that’s not really direct action and doesn’t answer how specifically you joining the military will directly help people in the US fight fascism. You could be in the streets, disrupting the logistics chain of corporations profiting from ICE. By your own logic, you’re just sitting on your hands and are a weak person in the face of authoritarianism.
You also forgot to talk about what we should be doing differently.
I’d start hitting there assets, not people deff don’t need to do anything like that yet, or frankly ever if you do things right. Vandalism is way easier to get away with and often bloodless if your doing it right. And it hurts billionaire more then if you just luigi’ed some of them. Because they’re still alive to feel the pain of loss :D
Look up what the IRA was doing to Britain after they realize killing brit soldiers just meant they’d send more brit soldiers. Soo as they started bombing key officials investments, they’re tune changed real quick.
I’m not saying you have to go uni-bomber on them either. Even minor vandalism will still affect them.
(this note out of all of them is the most likely to get me smited but Fuck it, I want you to know what the actual next step is if you ever want to escalate)
Glad you brought up radical action. DAMN was erecting hard barricades to completely block ICE from entering or leaving areas, i.e. the day Alex Pretti was murdered people moved a dumpster into the street to prevent ICE from leaving, and set it on fire to prevent it from being moved.
We were also forming soft barricades with our bodies and homemade shields. We also disrupted the flow of capital towards corporations coordinating with ICE by picketing their distribution centers and turning away truckers.
I’d argue that these efforts are more important and more impactful than uncoordinated vandalism.
Other people and groups participated in wakeups, where people violate noise ordinances late at night near the hotels ICE is staying. This did involve the exact type of vandalism you’re talking about.
I woundn’t, you didn’t effect the decision makers when you did that, you just hit the arm that was built to take those hit and they hit back. My whole point is that your not going far enough and frankly you can organize those destructive elements like you did there into something that will actually hurt these bugmens pocketbooks.
Got it, so instead of meeting the moment in the area we live, we all need to abandon our vulnerable people and vacate the area to commit mass vandalism at the capitol 1200 miles away?
See your not listening, ASSETS, the things these people OWN. Your willfully not listen. You don’t need to go all the way to the capital to hit things like this. But clearly you just want to win the argument.
BTW I’m done here, Iv been waiting for gov paperwork in this stupid office and my number is next. Hopefully you figure things out and don’t end up in a jail cell forever or worse over something that wasn’t worth it when you could have made it worth it.

So turning away truckers at distribution centers of collaborator corporations isn’t attacking the assets?
If they can drop it off elsewhere, ye
We were preventing truckers from picking up.
