Nearly a third of adults in England in 2025 were affected by obesity, Cambridge researchers have found. Their study revealed that the most disadvantaged groups are bearing a disproportionate burden of the obesity crisis, and this gap has widened in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lost some weight recently and then when I mentioned planning to lose more to a doctor she said not to bother as I am already better than most people around here. BMI was still middle of overweight at the time. Down 12kg now, a few more would be nice.
Really weird for a doctor to talk like that. Obesity is more or less human health public enemy number one these days, feels crazy to be like “yeah nah you need to be more complacent”

Yeah it felt pretty strange to hear it tbh
12KG is a lot! I’ve recently lost 6KG and I had to saw off a limb! Nice work on improving your health 😁
