California loses more people each year than live in the entire state of Wyoming, and that’s normal. If you know people that moved states for lower taxes, then I doubt they are billionaires. Why are you, someone who lives outside of California, so invested in a proposed law for a place you don’t live? I don’t live there either, but I don’t care about where billionaires live. I’m just pointing out that it’s mostly empty threats. Remember when Mamdani passed a tax on secondary residences and people threatened to leave? Guess what happened.

I think people on here like to shit all over Newsom for BS reasons. This headline is a great example. He’s against a statewide wealth tax, which makes sense for the reasons I gave. We can agree to disagree, that’s fine.

But has he come on against nationwide wealth tax? I don’t think so. I don’t honestly know what he stands for (which is a legitimate complaint).

He didn’t support Ben Shapiro. I’ve listened to all his controversial podcast and found them very enlightening. I would rather listen to a Democrat interview these people that suck than listen to them on Joe Rogan, or anything like that.

Covering your eyes and ears to these people is exactly how we got 4 more years of Trump.

Problem with your perspective is you assume these people aren’t already normalized. Newsom began his podcast for basically this reason (after Trump got elected btw).

Most people on the left don’t know who these people are and how big of an impact they are already making. You might want to close your eyes and pretend it isn’t happening, but I appreciate having this as a way to hear these people without having to follow right wing sources that just blindly agree and give no real challenge.

Well, you can entertain white nationalist Nazi genocidal maniacs but I’m good. Deplatforming this shit is paramount because of the paradox of intolerance.

And you can pretend that deplatforming is a thing that exists in 2026. And when JD wins in 2028, you can be shocked that all the people you deplatformed were defining the election in right wing circles.

Man, it’s almost like you were born after 2016. And Vance is not Trump.

If you want to give people like Ben Shapiro and Nick Fuentes and Charlie Kirk views and both sides this shit I have nothing else to say to you. I’ve seen enough now to know that when you let one Nazi into a bar the next thing you know the bar is full of Nazis and pretending like there is some merit to debating or listening to these psychos is objectively harmful.
