In Deutschland ist den dritten Tag in Folge ein neuer Temperaturhöchstwert gemessen worden. Der Deutsche Wetterdienst (DWD) meldete einen Wert von 41,7 Grad im brandenburgischen Neißemünde-Coschen an der polnischen Grenze. Am Freitag war ein erster Höchstwert mit 41,3 Grad in Saarbrücken gemessen worden, gestern eine Temperatur von 41,5 Grad in Drewitz, Sachsen-Anhalt.

      Well, when you hire British comedians to perform a British sketch, the result does turn out to be quintessentially British:

      The two-hander sketch was originally written by British author Lauri Wylie for the theatre. After featuring on the stage, the German TV broadcaster, Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), recorded the sketch in 1963 as an 18-minute black-and-white videotape recording, performed in English by British comedians Freddie Frinton and May Warden.
