    Of the firms listed, only Tesla has any patents worth confiscating.

    I’d play it differently and nationalize any patents needed to maintain the existing products once the firms that built them are ejected. I’d also make it clear that breaking DRM in order to maintain such products is penalty-free (as it should be for all products, really).

      IP applies to more than just patents, it also includes things like branding. Imagine how much you could piss of McDonald’s if every Tom, Dick, and Clancy can open their own without giving a penny to the corporation.
