Funny that MV3 could be a good selling point for mozilla, they could do so many things to advertise firefox like extensions working with full capacity and using gecko instead of chromium but instead they… released vertical tabs, data collection for ads and shutting down mastodon instance and wasting money in AI
I was trying to use firefox for some years but with mozilla at the top, this is going anywhere and they don’t focus on what really matters, had issues with mozilla sync that community fixed on about:config in 2019 but they reintroduced a year later and it’s “won’t fix” for us since then, still being slow is an issue that they promised but nothing until now
Yeah sad to see this happening. Sad you need to reach for forks to have it fixed. And sad there is no other alternatives. Whether we like it or not, Firefox is currently the only alternative to Google’s monopoly.
I am using waterfox that removes most unnecessary things from mozilla, Zen browser seems interesting but still a soft-fork and it’s going to take sometime to be ready with something new on the table
Still the forks do not bring anything to the table apart from stripping stuff. So still we are forced to rely on Mozilla.
