I think a lot Chinese workers are realising this, so that’s why the CCP is stoking nationalism by claiming and militarised an entire body of ocean to distract the public from domestic issues, which .ml dismiss as nothing. Meanwhile, they go “reeeee” when the US attacked Iran and closed off strait of Hormuz.
I mean the social dividend concept is usually a core part of market socialism. But China does it about as well as any other social democracy, just with a lot of extra authoritarianism in between.
