Are you kidding? Of course they bet on this in particular but all fights now (and everything else,) it’s not illegal bookies anymore because the supreme court struck down the ban on sports betting years back, and it’s expanded to everything.
It’s weird though, as the US, under Biden, shut down predictit, a non profit university project to better preditct events with betting on outcomes, and then gave the ok to for profit companies. Not really weird so much as corrupt.
I think UFC was real at one point, but it’s been owned by the same parent company as WWE for a few years now, so they might be more similar these days.
