I’m not going to spend more than 5 minutes doing anything for their company simply to apply to a job they posted.

    Ya, I probably should have noted proofreading anything AI slops out. I’m actually on a hiring committee at the moment and AI slop artifacts like emojis in a resume tend to be a red flag with some of the committee members. Though, I find this kinda ironic as our company has been pushing AI usage. so, why shouldn’t we expect it from our candidates? Just don’t use AI during the technical interview, we’re gonna notice.

    Granted, being old enough that I yell at clouds, I’ll file any resume with emojis in it (regardless of source) under /dev/null.
