Who could have seen this coming? Also, who asked for another foldable phone? Why do we need yet more stupid gimmicks.

Stupid gimmicks are phones with >6" screens you can’t carry or store anywhere.

Flip phones are 3" squares you can carry easily.

Not really a gimmick, foldable phones are awesome.

Apple is just naturally behind the curve and figuring out things other brands have already been doing for 6+ years.

I love my Flip7. Had a flip since 2020. Don’t worry, John Apple will invent one soon.

Not sure why Apple didn’t license Samsung displays like every other time.

The one and only upside I can see to a foldable phone is that it might finally be able to thwart my shitty superpower of always being able to accidentally unlock my phone in my pocket and pocket dial people or pocket open apps or pocket close browser tabs.

Long press on the desired app and select ’require face ID’.

I did that for calls and texts after butt dialing my manager while partying

I think I might purchase. My iPhone Mini 12 battery is… and Apple isn’t… and folded it’s right under the iPhone Mini size. I don’t care about the fold, I just want a small phone and there’s not competition for a flagship. I’m worried the screen will destroy itself within a few years though.
