@SchmidtGenetics Our hops decided spring had arrived a few weeks ago. It is growing fast, reaching the garage roof now. And yet, there is a frost warning on my phone…
I was hoping for atleast one more week. Can’t build the new supports yet. I was gonna replace the metal trellis with a string line at an angle, but dang.
I only planted it last year and the voles got to it before it was done flowering. So I don’t think it got too established yet. But we will see.
@SchmidtGenetics We are also playing that game where the supports can’t go up quickly enough… Next step: canopy above the chicken run.

I just had carpal tunnel release surgery last Thursday on my non-dominant hand. So can’t stress it with something like that yet. Even my right hand I shouldn’t use tools that can vibrate yet. Like a drill, or hammering stakes in.
And what I can do, needs to go to getting the yard ready before the city gets mad. Just bad surgery timing, but that’s life. So the mower and weedwacker isn’t gonna too fun, but I’ve got help coming.
@SchmidtGenetics Is there ever good timing for surgery? Recover well and quickly. Don’t overdo it :)
Over winter when I was paying for snow removal and could just do nothing? Haha, but yeah doesn’t always workout.
