Anybody ever entered a random draw and just kinda felt like they were going to win? I go to gun shows and usually just look, as I’m generally fairly satisfied with my coverage of firearms to defend me and my family from right wing psychos and the coming shit show. But there was a raffle for a .50 barrett. And I bought a few tickets. And for some reason, I feel like it’s already mine. Like I feel like I’m going to win it. I’ve only gotten this feeling once before, and I did wind up winning the $1000. Anybody else have that happen? I hate going to these things and trying to play nice with these people, but if they’re armed, I need to be as well. I dunno, I just feel like it’s already mine and just need to wait for confirmation.
I’d bet. The M2 is on a tripod so that eats all the recoil.
I’ve shot the Barrett and even with it having a recoil spring, it’s honestly not fun to shoot for more than a few rounds. I don’t even want to talk about the single round I shot from a bolt action 50bmg…
Even more reason to not bother with bolt-action for .50 BMG: semi-automatic rifles tend to have safety features to redirect energy away from the shooter and relieve pressure in the event of a catastrophic failure.
