These are the following countries that are part of the Caribbean:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Bahamas
- Barbados
- Cuba
- Dominica
- Dominican Republic
- Grenada
- Haiti
- Jamaica
- Saint Kitts & Nevis
- Saint Lucia
- Saint Martin
- Saint Vincent & the Grenadines
- Trinidad and Tobago
If you have visited any of them, what can you really do there? (Since most are island nations with no borders)
Missing a few like Martinique and Saint Martin/Sint Maartens!
None, but I’d love to know which ones I should visit as a french speaker if I want to try a resort experience that’s not huge hotels but more of a secluded place near a beach.
Just Jamaica and it was really depressing
Are the ABC islands not part of the Caribbean?
You’re missing Belize. While we’re not an island (we do have those) we are on the Caribbean Sea.
I’ve visited Antiga, Barbados, Dominica, Nassau, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Tortolla. They’re all quite different and offer unique opportunities.
Snorkeling, catamaran trips, and deep sea fishing will be fun in any of these places. Caribbean food is also delightful anywhere you go. Where specifically you want to go will depend on what you enjoy doing. Personally, I love to get out an explore nature, so Dominica, Puerto Rico, and St. Lucia have a lot of appeal to me.
Dominican Republic in the early 2000s with my parents, on a discount all-inclusive vacation. It came down to mainly eating.
