        Just 0/0 is undefined.

        But the limit of f(x) = x/x as x approaches 0 would be 1.

        Meaning you can get infinitesimally close to 0 for values of x and the functions value will be 1. But actually reaching true 0/0 is an undefined state.

            Damn. You saw my comment too quickly. I misremembered my college math. Deleted after I realized the limit is 1 but 0/0 is undefined.

            The limit doesn’t exist in the mean girls problem because the LH approach and the RH approach do not agree.
