Its no secret that I am a socialist, I hope that with my posts and replies that others may follow. If you like what I have to say I would recommend checking Cowbee's comprehensive list credit to comrade @Cowbee@lemmy.ml for they're work

  • Kurt Cobain making a come back?

  • I'd call myself a cinaphile, a term I had not known till recent. I couldn't call myself a film critic, or a film buff.

  • Most of us are walking in lockstep, many of my comrades are family, in away, they have to be if we are to be revolutionaries. I believe its a regional issue and not a national one, at least I hope..

My region is historically with issues, I refer to us as the peasantry of the socialist party

  • There's some complicated tension in my branch. I don't think they are being well meaning, it would be nice if this had been the case. seems more attributable to ego and a family feud/nepotism, the more frustrating thing is, because I had risen fairy fast with in the party, and and many of my comrades seem to sincerely like me, a lot of the abuse comes with a smile and admiration. One that sticks in my head was "some people are born with it, some people learn it, and you fell into it, you really fell into it, didn't you?" after I inpromptly turned up to a large trades council regional meeting where I spoke on a panel (all very last minute, some of my comrades knew I was attending but the person to say this had no clue) and this was said to me while we were debriefing in our socialist party group.

  • Its always been when, capitalism is hostile to the mass of society, its also based on infinite extraction in a finite world.

  • I've not read much of Mao, I will give this link a full read.

Thanks and thanks for the kind words,

Coming into politics I thought the cloak and daggers had been a characterisation but nope I've had a few of these incidents show up.

  • I'm dipping out till the end of the month, if they aren't willing to discuss it then I won't be attending branch. I told our secretary that something feels off and that I will be back on 2nd of Feb, theyre reaction wasn't to investigate what I had said. so I think they know I know and have no spines for confrontation.

  • Had for two years, use mink oil, leather has however degraded.

Also worth mentioning, these are soon to be replaced. Not worth resoling as got for £60

  • Comradeship // Freechat @lemmygrad.ml

    ostracized

  • Like with all tech, we will build the infrastructure with our tax's, and Jeff will sell it back to us.

  • I've met some in this campaign who like AI, but they don't take much convincing once the material conditions are explained. I'm sure most of those students will continue to use AI. 90% of the students I've spoken with so far agree tho. I'd imagine the education institutions are getting some form of kick back or guidance from AI firms/partners, we saw similar with PCs entering education, something silicon valley opt their own children out off.

  • I've been working on formal a socialist students society, our first and current campaign is fighting back against AI in the local college, the reaction from students has been electric. Students don't want this, they know they are being deskilled, they know who profits.

  • Decades of manufacturing consent, propergandising against workers power. We live in a hyper individualist society where the state can feel monolithic and we can't fight it alone, furthered by not knowing how to collectivise. This can however change, when capitalistic crisis deepens so does class antagonism. Capitalism can not solve its own inherent failures.

The US's imperialist invasion of oil rich Venezuela will lift many out of poverty in imperialistic countries, however this will be a dirty bandage on a septic wound, and while in the short turn it will lift some up, it will also push a vaster number down in the client states.

What we need is a revolutionary working class. No more flimsy concessions, careerists, or ruling elites. This necessitates developing class consciousness with in the mass of our society.

So get studying Marx, join a revolutionary socialists/communist party. Get involved in local actions. Essentially become a leading comrade.

  • Mine gets worse, this is a me problem though. Writing automated scripts that I forget about or give non descript names to 🤤

  • Capitalism will find ways to create capital, usually ending in rents. Neither free markets nor regulated can solve this as it is rooted in a contradiction.
