Not militias by any actual definition in the US.
Organized militias = National Guard/Air National Guard
Unorganized militia = every able-bodied man of at least 17 and under 45 years of age, who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia. These are militia that are under control of the State Governors.
In all cases a militia is under the auspices of government, it’s not random jerkoffs playing milsim shooting targets with turbans on them on the woods. Those are armed paramilitary groups at very, best, domestic terrorists at worst.
There are far right despotic dissident right extremists paramilitary militias, those unfortunately exist, the legitimate organized militias are the army/air national guard unit, naval militias
As far as i know, militias are a bunch of armed people that come out of destroyed buildings, when you play against Poseidon in Age of Mythology.
