I don’t live in the USA, I live in west germany that had to compete with the living standards in east germany and so when rebuilding had to make sure our residential areas are similarly constructed with care for how the laborers living there would feel about them. Also my point wasn’t just about the trees, but the clear planning that went into that whole area. You can’t do “just plant trees bro” in US cities because it’s just concrete and asphalt everywhere.
