The thing is, we don’t need concert promoters, or ticketmaster. All we need is an empty field on private land with electricity.

All we need is an empty field on private land with electricity.
Which is increasingly the domain of rich people only. Especially when you’re talking areas able to accommodate larger concerts without breaking a bunch of public order laws.
And that’s not even counting all the logistics and equipment and legal bullshit etc etc that ALSO costs a fortune and a lot of manpower.
The economic and political elite have been very thorough in their efforts to make evading exploitation a HUGE hassle if not literally impossible for the their victims, the rest if humanity.

There are a lot of working people with land, myself for one. I would host one. In the woods here, do it on a full moon. We have a hands off government here.
Would be a smaller one here, but rural places would appreciate the cash influx. And entry fees will more than pay for all of those logistics.
It will continue until we stop paying it.
There are plenty of great bands playing smaller venues. As for Roger Walters and Radiohead… I’m sure they’ll be fine financially speaking.
Yeah so many fantastic small bands charging a lot less for tickets and they’re much easier to find now than in the past. My favorite artist right now charged like $40 for tickets to their most recent tour
How about we bring artists to private land, invite people to show up and pay an entry fee, and play? There is no reason we need to relegate ourselves to these corporate venues in megacities.
