An Iranian missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia damaged a US Air Force E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft and several KC-135 tankers.
To put it simply, the US did lose more troops and equipment in 1991 and 2003 than currently, but also achieved their objectives, so to speak.
Then again, the 1991 war was a real war with with close to 1 million troops taking part. Currently, what we have is basically two countries lobbing missiles at each other.
Ironically, in 1991, it was the US that was using drones against Iraq. Tables have kinda turned.
