@therizzler had SIGNIFICANTLY more candor than most of the slithering people on this app, my response is as follows:
That’s friendslop, you only believe it because pleasant people said it… fair enough. Viet Nam is trying to escape a brutal dependent situation, & Israel is treated like another part of the first world doing the usual gatekeeping through certain monopolies, but that treatment is different than what they get from non-communist countries.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Interior warns that it currently has “no policy allowing the recruitment & placement of workers in Israel” in any field or profession. Workers should only seek information from official sources such as the Department of Overseas Labor Management & avoid trusting ads or promises on social media platforms like Facebook & Zalo.
It’s not some kind of purely moral framing I’m trying to apply here about the attempted genocide, Phoenix Program, claiming defectors were POWMIAs & trying to assassinate them, chemically exterminating the whole ecosystem, creating a persistent public health crisis setting back the development of the region (agricultural self-sufficiency not just for cash crop export is the core of a nation’s development). Those things are awful & created the situation where the periphery is unable to launch a unilateral global siege on Israel, which is what would be required to block resale of key resources to it by its allies, which utterly bankroll it. BDS, while rhetorically effective, is vastly overshadowed by the effectiveness of smashing Israeli infrastructure with missiles, thus rendering firstoid supplies of investment, military aid,&SSettlers ineffective / counterproductive+costly / proper scared. VN is an ally of IR. The US has targeted the VN petroleum industry for violating IR sanctions (use VPN or archive it (I’m too lazy)). Different vessels have been labeled part of a “shadow fleet” 🙀🙀. VN’s response: “Regrettable. 😎” [continues trading with Iran epic China-style].

Iranian FM Hossein Amirabdollahian & Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang underlined joint efforts to boost cooperation across political, economic, commercial, scientific, & cultural fields, with Hang reporting that bilateral relations are “growing & satisfactory” & that recent talks had “useful & fruitful” results, stressing that existing deals must be followed up & implemented.
In light of the economic cost of the war in Iran, opening up high-level industries provides a lot more leverage than taking a rhetorical stance that isolates VN at a critical point in ts development. The punishment is harsh it is like asking a man just out of the hospital & recovering in the gym from an injury to fight.

Iran Frees Vietnamese Tanker Seized After US Navy Confrontation — Al Jazeera [2021-11-10]

Iran freed the Vietnamese tanker Sothys, seized in late October after the IRGC said it “thwarted an attempt by the US navy to ‘steal’ Iranian oil by force.” The IRGC reiterated that “the operation of the navy force of the terrorist US army was foiled” when its elite forces boarded the ship, warned off US vessels & aircraft, then returned the tanker to Iranian shores. Tehran said Washington was trying to enforce unilateral sanctions, while the US denied any effort to steal the Iranian oil, saying its forces only monitored. IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami called the seizure an “unforgettable” day & “major victory,” with another commander noting US ships were “less than 30 meters away”—proving that they were not just observing. The incident was publicized ahead of nuclear deal talks in Vienna.

Under DotP, foreign investment & trade controls allow funneling of resources into productive industries. VN has an even more sophisticated understanding of this than the USSR, because of the USSR & China (the master) in part ofc (not to say there aren’t a lot of contradictions resulting from this, I could go on about CIA influence on the VN education system forever I should actually but not here), the structure of which I will address in long form on this site when I get off my lazy aSSSS. Lenin put a very fine point on the utilization of trade with imperialists against imperialists.
