I’m kinda on the pro-ship side considering the rampant puritanism that anti-shippers have shown, but I’m just asking to check my own biases.

    I don’t doubt some proshippers are groomers. There are a massive amount of proshippers, especially outside the west like in LATAM and Asian fandoms so it happens from time to time and other proshippers call it out.

    What is true is that there a massive amount of evidence of vocal antishippers being guilty of sexual harassment and abuse among other things. https://ultimate-shipping-sources.carrd.co/#documentation I think it’s a symptom of a patriarchal problem where weird groups are scapegoated to draw attention from normies who actually commit sexual abuse because it’s normal in this kind of society.

        Someone opposed to fictional taboo ships who judges people for liking or making them. The latter part is crucial because a lot of proshippers don’t care for taboo stuff but they don’t look down on those who do.
