I did a similar post on Slops community, asking for feedback regarding how specifically their comm is moderated, I did not ask for their overall sentiments of Hexbear at large. “Slop” is not a clear demographic though.
This comm is different though, as the demographic is clearer. From your perspective as people who are more covid/health aware, what are your concerns with not only how this comm is moderated, but the site in general?
I didn’t mean to leave you on read, but I’m just not sure I have an answer at the moment. idk, I kinda question whether or not agitating in a place like this (outside of this comm) is productive or if time would be better spent focusing on what I can do irl. I mentioned Jon Stewart earlier and similarly I often wonder if a shitposting site like this is like the empty calories of praxis.
Sorry for the late reply but I was out of action for a bit. We’re effectively on the same page here, and this might just be the difference in where we live, but my IRL experience is COMPLETELY worthless, so I figure why not attempt to agitate online. If you see your energy being better used locally, I definitely think you should do that instead. In my experience, its basically pissing directly into the wind either way.
