- Tonari No Yokai-San (weeps)
- Astro Note
- Vampire Dormitory
- Rinkai!
Bombed in JP Twitter, but decent MAL+Anilist:

- Banished Hero
- Gods Games We Play
Bombed on MAL+Anilist, but decent in JP Twitter:
- Boukyaku Battery
- Highspeed Etoile
Of course Twitter and MAL, Anilist users aren’t representative of the total anime viewing audience, so maybe, for example, Tonbo! may have been a hit among kids or professional golfers or some other high-spending demographic who don’t use Twiter, MAL, or Anilist.
I am trying to think of demographics that wouldn’t really be represented here and I came up with a couple ideas, but the biggest is probably kids. So, I wonder if a show like Tonbo! did well enough with a young audience to get a second season, but it just isn’t showing up here.
It’s pretty safe to say that Astro Note bombed pretty hard based on the staff apologizing about the show.
I would guess that some age ranges and other subgroups of women are also underrepresented on /r/anime, Twitter and MAL+Anilist.
The Anime Corner charts show that there is demand for female-targeted shows.
Vampire Dormitory, Duke Of Death and his Maid, and Crow Doesn’t Choose Lord were in that middle range over there.
