There I was, standing on the street beside the little cafe, sneaking a ciggie. A woman walked by. Wearing a “Fascism” T-shirt. What it is, why not to be part of it. Great T-shirt, I said, pointing. She took me in. Sunglasses, leather jacket, tiny white dog. Safe. Thank you,

Humanism is the opposite of fascism. And if you genuinely understand that, you can see, too, why fascism took root in America.

    The opposite of fascism is anti-fascism.

    Communism, Humanism, Socialism, Social Democracy, Syndicalism, Anarchism, Pacifism, Republicanism (not to be confused with the Republican party), etc…, may clash with fascism and be mutually exclusive, but they are not the opposite.
    There are even liberals, nationalists, and conservatives who would be opposed to fascism.

    All those who oppose fascism are anti-fascist. When it comes to that, the more the merrier.
