This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
To prove to each other what they believe in is real, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been spotted and Okarun goes to a tunnel rumored to be haunted. To their surprise, they each encounter overwhelming paranormal activities that transcend comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to overcome these new dangers! Their fateful love begins as well!?
The story of the occult battle and adolescence starts!
I do hope Kinta won’t be too reoccurring. That might become a breaking point for me.
What a redemption arc though, if he can smooth out those rough edges and become a real friend
Yeah that could work, but they’d have to change his entire character type for that. I’ve been burned with that before (Zenitsu from Demon Slayer).
I’m less aware of anime tropes in general, is it so unlikely to to see a heel-face turn? DanDaDan is a coming of age story in general, and although some guys like him turn out to be terrible people, the vibe of this show feels like that’s not a move they’d want to make.
Not necessarily unlikely given this show’s more unique nature, but it’s not uncommon for character types like him to not really deviate much from this behaviour. I could be totally wrong though.
I hope so. Every other main character manages to humanise their stereotypes by containing interesting contradictions. This guy has definitely shown some promise in last week’s episode with how he helped out, it’d be cool to see him explore his identity as Okarun’s rival.
Don’t think I’m really spoiling much by saying he’s pretty much present all the time in the manga.
Although I find he becomes a lot more tolerable than how he was initially represented.

Wow right after the final episode of s2 Amazing
Nice!! Not that this news is terribly surprising, after all, and the article is scant on details… I’ll still allow myself to do a little happy fist pump for this. 🙂
