    We’re fortunate that these tend not to be terribly aggressive spiders, they have a way of popping up out of nowhere, at least in my part of the country.

    Also, folks in this sub probably already know this, but for the rest: The bites are not necessarily as dangerous to healthy adults as you might think. It’s usually more concerning for children, elderly, and a subset of folks who happen to react more harshly to the venom. So, don’t get complacent, but also, if you do get bit, don’t panic.

      Agreed. We have tons of these in my backyard and it terrified me when we first moved in. I’ve learned over the years that they mind their own business and keep the other bugs away so I leave them alone
