I oftentimes ship a sauce only sold in my area to family at different elevations. The problem is that the bottle it’s sold in isn’t very secure and many times it’ll break in transit and leak everywhere.
What should I look for when shopping for bottles/containers to use for shipping?

Bottles like this can hold a bit of pressure. But maybe a solid jar with a screw on lid would suffice. You could also try to use a soft container that you compress a bit at sea level so there’s room for the air inside to expand without blowing up the container.
A collapsible container would also allow you to squeeze out extra air, so there would be less air to expand in the first place.
See if there are any caps or bottles that have a pressure relief valve to let the high internal pressure out but nothing in
Wouldn’t the sauce just leak out of the valve?
