He wants to be a good dog so bad but he was born with metal issues and has always had an aggressive streak. He’s 13 now and keeps getting worse, we’ve tried all the pain and anti anxiety meds, they help but not enough. Hes attacked my other dog (Simon) enough times that Simon is straight traumatized, the cats are scared of him too. He stayed with my ex when I left but he’s gotten to the point she’s nervous around him all the time, obviously a detriment to her mental health.

My ex and I both have a a fair amount of experience working with aggressive dogs which is why we’ve been able to keep him so long (adopted at like 6 months) but there’s nothing left for us to do. The vet says we should put him down but I just fucking can’t. His life isn’t perfect but he’s not miserable enough that it would be a mercy in anyway. He’s obviously not adoptable but I’ve yet to find a shelter or rescue for him. I don’t know what to do and his time is rapidly running out. If anyone has an in at a rescue or any ideas please help me help him.
