Why would they OK that 😭
Likely as they follow the existing law and existing law doesn’t have rules specific to AI. Many tech companies are based in Ireland so the Irish data commission is quite important, and have ruled both for and against tech companies. So, while I think the ruling is bad for citizens, I imagine that requires a law change.
