With U.S. president-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration just days away, the federal government announced it is sending a slew of drones and two Black Hawk helicopters to the shared border to begin beefed-up patrols — along with 11th-hour hope it will be enough to placate the incoming administration.

It is painfully obvious that our close economic relationship with the US is a blessing and a curse. There has always been a need for us to diversify our TRADE and yet every level of government has not tried hard enough to do just that. We need to strengthen economic ties with South America and Europe. Example: why aren’t we jumping to build LNG terminals in Eastern Canada so we can ship our gas to Europe? Import more vegetables from Mexico and central america. We have a direct rail link for cheap transport!

I personally am putting some serious consideration into getting my unrestricted and restricted firearms license with my tax rebate cheque.

Maybe I’ll never use them, but by gawd if Trump is gonna attack us the fuck I’m gonna be sitting on my fat ass doing nothing about it.

What do the Vietnamese know about being on the longest land border in the world, within striking distance of every single modern Drone/Bomber/Rocket, with the US?

Sending Troops and equipment overseas to attack is a costly and logistically difficult endeavour. If Vietnam was on the border of the US when the US invaded, Vietnam wouldn’t exist today.
