World’s smallest LEDs from a new semiconductor Micro- and nano-perovskite LEDs promise a new generation of display technology 19 March 2025, Zhejiang University ‘Downscaling’, the process of making elementary devices smaller in size, is at the heart of many technological breakthroughs in computing, information display, and human-machine interactions. For example, the downscaling of transistors has accelerated the speed of computers
Non-human use cases, would be one. Like, having the ability for machines to “see” highly detailed imagery via camera. Just spitballing. My eyes are shit, so a screen that cool will never be of use.
Maybe, but it would be more logical to simply bypass screen to eye camera, to just transmit the signal from the original camera directly.
But hypothetically yes, that could possible be a use in a future scenario.
