I think USians talking about the great firewall is so funny because did the US not just do this whole song and dance where it had a hissy fit because China kinda sorta had a financial stake in Tiktok (not really using it for influence tho) and then forced it to sell to them? The only reason the US doesn’t have a great firewall is that American social media companies are dominant globally.
