After putting out a nearly three-minute video decrying Trump’s repeated attacks on her Democratic colleague from Minnesota, Jayapal reminded social media users of the president’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, allegedly accepting a bribe in the form of a paper bag stuffed with $50,000 in cash.
…
“If the administration wants to investigate anyone, maybe they should look at themselves first. Anyone remember this?” Jayapal wrote alongside a photo of media coverage that notes Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) closed the probe into Homan last year.

You could probably teach a full semester college course on the crimes the Trump admin committed in just the first three months in office.
All this “whatabout” gesticulating does is remind people that the rule of law in this country is dead. Maybe with enough reminding we’ll do something about it.
It would take way more than just a semester
The rule of law is simply if you have enough money the law doesn’t matter. Something the current administration has proven a thousand times already.
Please be advised that in this example Jayapal is crying “whataboutism”, not the Trump admin.
Although they are more than happy to do so. Democrats or Republicans, we can always count on whataboutery.
p.s. bOtH sIdEs, yes, yes, you got me, how dare I be observant
Whataboutism usually refers to dismissing the actions of one person by pointing to another who does something similar.
When you respond to someone doing something for a possible reason by pointing out that same person ignoring a far more blatant example, we call that ‘hypricosy’.
It does make anyone who makes the argument seem extremely foolish
She’s pointing out hypocrisy. That is not the same thing.
