they tell us to live through wage slavery and to live through war and to live through inflation and to live through nuclear war as well. is it our own will to live or capitalists trying to convince us to stay alive and keep working? are humans really this stubborn to live or we do respect ourselves enough to not live without dignity if there are no better prospects? what do you think about this?
Honestly, this is not the type of discussion that you can safely have on a public forum. For instance, I have lots of opinions and arguments but can’t in good conscience write them down knowing somebody struggling with ideation will read them and take it out of context to feed their depressive spiral. Consider deleting this thread.
The will to live is probably the single most absolute base biological urge amongst all living organisms.
No its deeper than that. look at the people in Gaza and their will to live despite the most horrific conditions and suffering.
I do think individualism and the atomization and lack of community of the working class under late stage capitalism that makes people fear death and cling to life despite the end of quality living. If all you have is yourself, no community, nothing to show from your labors, death really is the end and that is terrifying and fear exists to keep you alive.
No, it’s not. The will to live is ingrained in all living things.
This is an extremely stupid post. I have serious issues with how you are framing this, because it’s borderline urging people to do bad things to themselves. The other day there was a discussion on trigger warnings. This would definitely need one!
And if you wish to discuss an actual idea here, then I’d suggest you delete this post and take a long good think about the wording and framing you are going to give the next one.
