Current police departments can’t be reformed. Can’t turn an orange into an apple. They’re rotten from top to bottom and within their very charter.
We’d need to replace the entire concept and everyone currently involved, with a new organization that is from the start intended to serve the people, and not the filthy rich.

There’s less than 750k cops in America as of 2024.
We’d just have to redesign police academies, require oversight, and then start pumping trainees who pass stricter background checks and qualifications they, then using them to replace existing police.
It’s all very doable and wouldn’t take long.
This isn’t the time for learned helplessness bud, it’s literally the opposite of what we need right now.
