    They should just change the mission of the enterprise to “explore strange new fiction genres”.

    Star Trek is now just an empty shell to fill with anything the writer wants to experiment with.

    A silly, out of place, episode is fine sometimes, but there is nothing left apart from stale tropes and theater for the sake of it.
