    They are — all humans are capable of the kinds of cruelty fascists espouse, and to claim otherwise just makes you open to lines of thought like “I know I’m human, which means I can’t be as cruel as them”.

      No, it doesn’t, and I resent that implication. There is no line of reasoning between your not-even-wrong claim that all humans are capable of these unspecified kinds of cruelty and the conclusion that claiming otherwise leads to logical inversions like the one you have chosen.

      1. I am not capable of the kinds of cruelty fascists espouse. I would die before committing them.
      2. Claiming 1. does not impair my ability to do logic.

        If I may… I agree that we shouldn’t use their tactic of dehumanization, BUT… we absolutely need to adjust our policy of what kinds of horrible behavior actually does justify a punch in the face (fascism and nazi stuff)
