You see this brand in every German supermarket. They are typically the cheapest and lowest quality vegan substitutes. Which is not as bad as it sounds because it solves the problem of vegan substitutes typically being more expensive and not as affordable for families on a budget. Of course cheap is relative. Groceries have gotten very very expensive all over Europe in the last five years.

Meat prices themselves have caused vegan alternatives to become cheaper over here lol. 300 gram of minced meat costs 4.25 while 300 grams of vegan minced meat sits at 2.50

I’d really appreciate people to focus on cutting highly and ultra-processed foods. Processing isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s not necessarily good, either. We can cook lentils at home and toss them in the food processor or hand mash them together for vegan burgers, and be more sure of ingredients.

A while back, someone here mentioned to me my tumeric may be heavily lead contaminated. After searching, I was relieved to learn that the fact the color goes from orange to red when adding basic detergent is a fair indication it’s not lead-saturated, so I can enjoy my tumeric in moderation.
