this was an area of study at the meteorology department of my uni. it happens when the sun shines from over the horizon onto the underside of clouds with a lot of ice crystals in them.
which means the first two examples aren’t possible, but the third is. i’ve seen clouds like that, albeit much smaller.
Its sad - i’m too suspicious now to belive anything fancy from the internet anymore…
Yeah these all look fake for sure. None of the actual photos I ever saw of these or when I saw it myself looked anything like this.
I have seen this once IRL. It was cool as shit. I took pictures, but the effect didn’t get picked up through the camera :(
