Supporters are contacted by Switched to Linux with the URL to our Jitsi video conferencing room. When Switched to Linux is unable to do this, I provide information to a Jitsi video conferencing room that I administrate and provide it using our online chat platform, Matrix for supporters.

Oh, the post title said offline so I thought it was an in-person meet up. My mistake!
Perfectly understandable. Our use of the term only means that during the event, we are not transmitting out onto the video platforms in a livestream. Our supporters are spread out amongst great distances in the U.S. and Europe.
