  • Back around the turn of the millennium (to make me sound aged and wise) I did AOL tech support. I ran into so many people that used AOL email as a storage medium. I received death threats from a guy that lost his doctor thesis work because he was storing it in chunks attached to AOL emails to himself. That isn't even close to the dumbest thing I encountered in that ring of hell.

  • My Pixel 4a was perfect, but it is sadly gone now. I ended up with an 8a to I could keep using grapheneOS, but without a headphone jack I just started using a standalone portable music player. It seems ridiculous because it is, but that is what they forced on me and I will never forgive any of these companies for it.

  • They are one of the few OEMs that still offers headphone jacks and they are overall decent midrange phones. If they weren't so damned big and had an unlocked bootloader for ROM support I'd be on one right now.

  • The trackball that had the customizable notification LED under it on the Nexus One was so damned cool. Since it was raised up and I had work emails, texts, personal emails, and GTalk all on distinct colors, I could tell from across the room whether it was worth even grabbing my phone.

  • I bought one of these for my wife and we she has unfortunately had to switch back to her other phone due to some bugs. It seems to fail to be able to make phone calls or maintain bluetooth connections frequently. She has never had an issue receiving calls though. I'm still working on trying to find a solution for her because her old phone is a Pixel 6a which Google just nerfed the battery into oblivion like they did my 4a. I swear they have it out for us.

  • As far as I know, the PS5 had way more exclusives that the equivalent Xbox console. Sony just started releasing PC versions of many of those exclusives a couple of years after release because they like money, which took away their exclusive status. I see this as a good thing as exclusives aren't good for anyone other than the console maker.
